Paris, the capital of romance, a city that makes many people fascinated. Every year, many tourists come to this place and feel the charm and atmosphere of the city under the Eiffel Tower.

One of the attractions is almost every couple must go, that is the Pont des Arts, also known as the Love Bridge. The footbridge across the Seine was once the first metal bridge in Paris, and this innovation was due to the fact that Napoleon I followed the design of England.

The reason why it has become a must-see for couples is because there are more than 100,000 love padlocks on the bridge. Couple from all over the world come here to lock the padlocks on the guardrail, and then throw the keys into the Seine to symbolize the immortality of their love.

However, in June 2014, part of the bridge fence fell due to the pressure of the lock, and no casualties were caused. Later, the Paris City Government of France dismantled a large number of padlocks on the fence of the Art Bridge and replaced it with graffiti decorations. It also guarantees its meaning and beauty without affecting its safety.

But, in order to protect the safety and normal use of the bridge, the Paris city government had to permanently dismantle these padlocks from June 1 to 8, 2015 and auctioned them to charity in 2017. After the padlock was removed, the fence of the bridge was changed to plastic glass, and the local government organized an art exhibition on the bridge.
